Last semester I was in a 4th grade class, and they had four computers in their class. I saw them used for intervention strategies such as SuccessMaker, Earobics, etc. There were also a few times that the students used the internet to research for projects (such as to find biographical information on certain people). The students mostly worked on computers when they went to the computer lab once or twice a week, and I am unsure of what they did during that time. This semester I am in a Kindergarten class, and the only thing the students have used the computers for is to use intervention games such as Starfall and Earobics.

\nI believe that computers should have a greater role than what I have seen thus far in the classroom, especially in the intermediate grades in which I might be teaching. They should be used for the things we are learning about in our class-wikis, blogs, voicethreads, etc. I think this is important because it is what students are interested in, and it would get them excited about learning.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
